    Default Decking info??

I am looking at getting decking fitted to the front of the house and im wondering roughly what kind of price it will be fitted. I am looking for a bit of around 4m x 3m and it will be raised up around 1m to sit at the same level as the top step of the house, so bearing in mind it will have a few steps etc what kind of money are we talking about for fitting??

I have had a look on good 'ole ebay for decking kits and came across http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tchlink:top:uk will this be suitable for my purposes??

Do it yourself, it's easy. I've done a couple now, takes about a day to do one that size!
I've tried the link but it wont open. each time I have done it i have gone to the builders merchants, told them the size i was building and they let me have the quantity I need, and they deliver it!

If you want a nice sturdy deck concrete your uprights in. Make sure the ones around the edge are long enough to come up above the deck level to the height you want your railings at. I used 8'x2's as bearers to build a frame, and I coachbolted the exterior of the frame to the uprights then screwed the rest of the frame in. Then cut and screwed the boards onto the deck then fitted the spindles and handrails between the uprights.
    Doddle!!
