    Default subwoofer

    Getting my car tech 2 on Thursday to get the full onboard display enabled(cdc 40 opera) also subwoofer enabled.Any ideas what sub to go for without filling boot,maybe even something to fit in rear right hand pocket ?Dont want it for volume just to enhance the current sound

    I didnt realise these units had a specific output for subs

    If you go into the menu for setting fader, treble bass etc you will see it there

    Depends Entirely How much you want to Spend.

    8 or 10 Inch Kicker L7. Get Someone to Make you a Custom Box that is Square - 90% of the Pre Made Boxes are that Wedge Shape - Waste of Space IMO

    the sub output is at speaker level , so unless you want to buy a speaker to rca adapter you need to run the sub - and + back then connect both left and right channels to the wire from the headunit
    ive got this in mine

    it adds a bit of depth but its no disco .

    I had a custom Stealth Box with 12" sub driven by an big Alpine v12 amp in my last car - turn it up & it made a excellent laxative but I don't really want to go the whole hog again, it was a bit expensive but I think I'd be disappointed by the results of one of these

    Iwent back to standard as having a big sub in the boot was ruined by all the gear i carry , so whats the poing , also missed having steerin wheel cotrols but decided to put it back and use the head unit in my MX-5
