That's the question. So what's the answer. I fancy the new Navman 550, but am tempted by the Tom Tom 500. About the same price, so does anyone own either model?
Views please.

Personally, I'd go for a Bluemedia BM6300!!!!
www.lowestonweb.com
I've got one and it works a treat!!!!!
You get the whole of Europe included and also Speedcam database.
Only £299 (seen it for £289 somewhere now!)
HTH
Grant.
i was going for tom tom but ended up with navman, although not as higher model. The navman is easy to use, 3d maps etc and im guessing it does everything the tom tom does. The problem is the tom tom is the market leader so may be better supported with POI downloads etc etc. A bit like choosing VW over skoda.
Have a look at www.pocketgps.co.uk
ive got tomtom and carnt fault it
I have the Navman icn510 with uk and full european mapping..I've found it really easy to use... once you get used to inputing the address etc either by using the touch screen, stylus or the remote..the internal memory isn't massive so I tend to rely on SD cards for full mapping. I've just downloaded full uk and euro speed camera sites on to its built in memory and it works a treat very accurate but this needs to be updated monthly,as new sites are being added all the time..The POI'S are very good but I have found one or two post offices/petrol stations no longer exist..
Apart from that its a great little machine especially in 3D mode you can see rivers lakes forests parks etc as you pass them...overall I think its great... having said that, I'm yet to try the TomTom.
But this does everything I need it to do..And probably a bit more.
Well Happy.
I have a Tom Tom 500. Have to say, it does have its faults. It's been replaced 3 times in 6 months, mostly due to memory card dying for no reason. When it works, it's superb, all in all I wouldn't be without it. Looking on Ebay for a remote control as it's a bit fiddly to use whilst driving.
i can see a test reveiw coming on here at a next meet. 2 cars, both with different sat navs plot the same route. See how accurate they both are.
