Tyre replacement Recommendation

Hi

Has anyone used the following mobile tyre fitters:

They seem competative and to replace 4 tyres with 215/50/17 [91W]Goodyear Eagle NCT's is £424.19.

I got 30,000 miles + out of the original NCT's .

Anywhere cheaper than this?

I'd go for the Toyo T1-R in 225/45/17 size m8. From them they are £401.85.

Deffo agree with that . Except I'd go to blackcircles.com and pick 4 up for £364 (with the 5% discount)
I wouldnt recomend buying NCT5. There are much better tyres out there, often cheaper too.
Also Goodyear F1's are supposed to be very good.

NCT5 is old, out of date, and frankly poorly made rubbish. Another tyre in Goodyear's lineup that should have been binned years ago.

I think you'll find it hard to beat a Bridgestone RE050A. Expensive, but damn they're good. I've been through just about every tyre on the road in one way or the other, and I'm very committed to Bridgestone now. RE050, RE720 and RE050A are all excellent tyres that I would recommend to anyone.

ER30 and ER300 are a very different tyre. They're the Turanza, hard as the cobbles in hell. But, my housemate has got 40k so far out of a pair of ER300 on the front of his Astra, and still a few mil of tread left. They are noisy compared to the 050/050A I run on my Astra.

iv'e got REO40s on my Signum, noisiest tyres I've ever known.

Eagle F1 GSD'3's are really good in the wet and dry. they grip just aswell in the wet and they do in the dry

downside is they are a very soft compound and i find they wear quite quick.

ill probs only get 12k from the front on mine, although i am a swift driver.

I'm in the process of replacing my NCT5 XL with the F1 GS-D3 XL
I've not noticed any difference any tyre wear, averaging about 35K miles per tyre

However, Good Year are updating their range, and both the NCT5 and F1 are now discontinued...!

The F1 is a slightly better tyre, as it has higher Treadwear Traction Temperature ratings and ironcailly is cheaper!
