auto locking

I know there is already a thread about this..I didn't know the cars had this feature..I tried to enable it this morning...I pressed the key fob and the button on the door...the windows came down I got soaking wet because of the wind and rain but didnt get any bleeps.
What am I doing wrong?

I got it working a month or so ago, but only after a bit of messing about.
I found that the only way to set it was to sit in the car, with your keys on your knee, then lock the car with the switch on the door, wait a minute or so....then carry out the procedure of pressing the key and door buttons simultaneously. I think I got two beeps when autolocking is enabled, but can't be sure. If you don't lock the door first, it does all the beeping stuff, but doesn't actually enable auto-locking.
Well, that's what I found.....and I've now got auto-locking at 10mph, auto-unlocking when I remove the ignition key and one press unlocking of all the doors - all my prefered options.
