    confused Cruise control

Got back from France last night after a weeks carp fishing , i'm totally knackered !!!!!!!!!!! (don't ask how many i caught ! ).

Clocked up 1041 miles & the car never missed a beat !

    BUT...................

Had a little incident with the cruise control.
At one stage it wouldn't activate.
When we stopped at some services, on restarting the journey, it decided to work & did so all the way home !

Does anyone know what happened ?
Have you had it happen ?

same with me though no trouble codes on the Tech2. I put it down to a glitch.

Once the car is started you need to press the brake at least once to activate cruise control.

I had a problem with CC too. But the reason was – clutch pedal spring play out. CC stops when you press clutch or brake pedal (keep you feet from those pedals when you are on CC ). The sensor which detect those movements requires that pedal travel far back when released. Sometimes the spring is too weak to reach it.
The spring cost about 10 quid but the garage would charge you for the labour.

There's been no problems with it since it first happened. I think that switching off the engine when we went to the services did the trick.
