    Vehicle : Vauxhall

    Trim : very

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

Unhappy Specs on the new TTiD Saab...

    It sucks as standard!?

It kicks out 180bhp, 236lbft, weighs 1410Kg, knocks out a massive 162g/Km of CO2 and only does 0-60 in 8.3 seconds!

My old beast with just the 888 remap produced 190bhp, 298lbft, 156g/Km, weighed 1620Kg and did 0-60 way faster than that!

With the box in as well it was under 7 seconds easily, what a waste on time.

They should have just remapped the single turbo 1.9 for that small an increase.

Still, I'd like to have a look at one and see if it were possible to use parts to create a twin turbo Vectra...

When I looked at the 0-60 of the Saabs I noticed they were all slower compared with the same engines in the Vec. So that should be quicker in the Vec.

I think that must be without aircon and other stuff cos I had it weighed when it got MOTed post smash and it was 1620KG with about 50ltrs in the tank and one guy. Boot was almost empty as well.

I do like a real Melton Mowbray pork pie though, not the naff imitation ones!

I believe the twin turbo Saab is out now so I might start asking around about compatibility of parts.

Now your talking. Proper mods. Not garden mowers or fibre glass

Come on Nutron, you have got to build the first twin turbo CDTi Vectra

SAABs are not designed for 0-60, there designed for 30-70

i bought my 9000turbo after seeing Clarkson rave about it being faster than any Ferrari ever built..........he wasnt wrong, nothing came close to it

but the diesel engine isnt a SAAB unit, its actually Fiat nuff said really

Same Fiat unit thats in the Vec 1.9's. If they are supposed to be designed for 30-70 the only thing I can think of different is the gearing.

yeah i think it is the gearing, 0-60 was pretty decentish but the fun really started at 30 upwards, the trip computer said the fuel was going down quicker than the V6 Signum, and if you hit the floor at 70mph in 4th gear you really knew you were moving, think mine had the suspension modded too, really miss that car

You are far, far, far too obsessed with figures.... Driveability of that car will be vastly superior to yours....
