You PM inbox is full mate, so I'll answer your question here -

As you have a DPF matey, I'd wait until after your first service and go for a remap. I'm sure the VXRPC or Regal remaps have an extra sequence in them that clears out the filter for you. A tuning box doesn't do anything with the filter, so can be troublesome in my opinion.

I'm thinking of getting an estate as my next car and if I do I won't be fitting a tuning box to it as all the estates have the DPF. I'll be going for a remap that includes the sequence to clear out the filter.

    Hope this helps
    Alex

    Hi Alex,
Thanks for the info, i'll wait and get the 1st service out of the way and then have it remapped, i'll probaly give regal a call as vxrpc seem to be having problems at the mo.

Anyone know what the service intervals are and the average cost on the vectra 1.9cdti..?? i may just have it remaped straight away

My last motor (a shogun warrior) only covered 8004 miles in the 3.5 years i had from new it and cost me a fortune in servicing every 12 months (£580 per service) the motor averaged 1800 miles between services.

It would cost you less to get a taxi everywhere. And less headache, and hassle.
