    Default trip help and slight mods

    i have a 2004 1.8 vectra c ls, nothing special as only 21 and carnt afford insurance on anything bigger yet, but i have the crappy two line trip display and wondered if i buy the full trip display is there any way to get it to fit and work in my car, any help please as i am wanting to do slights mods and upgrades to my vec and this is one of them,
    also can i fit sri bumpers and skirt on to my vec

    the bumpers and skirts will go straight on and are dead easy.... the display change can be done but it's not quite so easy, and unless you have the correct right hand stalk with the toggle buttons you'll start to hit difficulties...

    so bumpers are a go then, but would you say leave the trip display as it is and try to forget it

    i'd leave it be, and just concentrate on the styling mods......

    the bumpers are an easy swap, and when you do the sideskirts, you just need to get 20 more little plastic rivets from VX ( 20p each) and the whole lot can be done in a hour....

    Save your money, and get a better spec car next time, the insurance wont jump cos it's got a sunroof, so as long as you stay in the engine bracket you shouldn't see much of an increase.

    You'll never be happy with it, I get raised eyebrows as to why I buy upspec cars for my job, but I like the toys and the better feel of the car overall, save your money for something better, you will end up spending 2k on mods and the car will still not look as good as say a 55 SRi 1.8.

    i think i will look into upgrading to a better model, my work car is a black 07 vectra 1.9cdti estate, but i think it has 150bhp i no my boss payed the extra but to look at it just has a red ti on the badge, then when i get back in my car it just ant the same,

    Probably a 120 CDTi SRi would be your best option.

    does that have a six speed box or 5, my work one is a auto but the boss is getting a new one and im sure he said 6 speed manual,
