    Default More Flooding.....

These were took by my wife this afternoon in our village just outside Swindon. We wernt effected like this but this was only a few streets away, scary thought. I think this occurred simply because the sewerage system couldnt cope with that amount of water. It's not as bad as some, but still scary when its nearly on your own doorstep ........

Oh, and yet again, as you hear so many times, apparently this sort of thing has never happened before around where we live.....

I blame global warming for all the water on the floor and the fact we're yet to have a summer.

    Tery bull.

Saw two bungalows on the Bath road being pumped out by the fire brigade earlier. Looked like an elderly couple were stood around outside, suddenly forgot I'd been sat in the car for three and a half hours...

In Southall earlier I had to go and rescue my office lad from Ealing as the rain was breaching shop doorways. Poor sod was stood at a bus stop waiting for me to collect him and save him from walking in the torrential downpour. Stupid bu99er ended up soaked as he stood right beside a huuuuge puddle as I pulled up! The thunder and lightening over my depot, was getting to be a concern too. Looked out of the door at one point and got bluddy arc eye!

I joined the que Westbound at J3. An hour and a bit later, decided to get off at 8/9 and cross onto the A4.

Mistake. Qued from Maidenhead to Woodley then cut through a few side streets, Straight into Gridlock beside the M4, which was still crawling.

Cut accross town, total mileage 38, time in car, over three and a half hours...

My wife left work at the top of the A329(M) at 4 pm and got in 5 minutes BEHIND me! Took her two and a quater hours to do 11 miles....
