Found this a few days ago whilst trawling ebay for goodies, May be of use to someone looking for a "Custom Remap" for around £250

Hmm..i'd still want it done on a rolling road to back up some figures..
So how can you "Custom Remap" a car without a RR! In my understanding, a custom remap is done on a RR to get proper feedback and altered accordingly. This is more like a "off the shelf" product. You may be able to take into account zorsts, filters and other bolt on bits and pieces but without data its just guess work.
Im sure various companies offer remap's at your door - someone in my town got this lot to come out and remap his VAG and its impressive results TBH

I think i'll give them a miss if its all the same!
Sorry but if someone is using ebay to advertize cheap re-map's, then it cant say alot about there product!
Alarm bells are ringing!
you dont need a rolling road to do a custom map, a few years ago i had one of my cosworths remapped by the guy who done Fords RS works remaps, his name was ahmed, he plugged in his laptop to get the info he needed, made the adjustments, then he took my car for a spin to test it, changed some more bits, result made a hell of difference, then when i fitted an RS500 intercooler and RS500 injectors he done it again for me. custom maps are written for your vehicle with the adjustments made to your existing map, why do you need a RR, how can it be any different to using your senses and a normal road / driving conditions, BSR PPC's dont come with a rolling road
I emailed the guy on ebay, his name is alex, i asked him what gains to expect from a 1.9cdti 150 and he said 40bhp and 75nm torque, if he's right then its not bad for 250 notes..
