    Smile New Tyres

On friday i got these tyres for the fronts. I changed the size from 215 50 R17 to 225 45 R17 the tyres i chose were a medium quality.barum bravuris they grip extremely well and for the money very pleased with them.

national tyre price with fitting £202 for the pair.
The fitter told me that the tyre i had chose was of ex quality and a lot better than the softer goodyears so i'm well pleased.
all in all a good buy.will see how well they wear.........
a couple of pics for reference:

I bet the tyre fitter doesn't often get to work on rims as clean as Nick's.
.........Tyres look good too! This size fills the wheel arches better and looks a lot beefier than the 215/50's (in my opinion!)

I agree. Being from the north(!) I can't stand the thought of throwing away tyres with useable tread on them.
I've recently swapped the backs to the front in an effort to equalise tread wear. I've now got 6mm front / 4mm rear and will run with them until they're down to just less than 3mm - which I feel is as low as you should go with this width of tyre, due to the dangers of aquaplaning.
