1.9CDTI SRI Engine problem

Hi, My 1.9CDTI 120 has developed an engine problem, it is a 2006 model so under warranty but it always seems to take 4 visits to get things fixed by Vauxhall garage so if any body can point me in the right direction that would be great, problem seemed to start after its first service but could have been coincidence, when revs are between 1500-2000 & if I am accelerating slowly engine seems low on power and then jumps as though I am in the wrong gear, not quite as bad but a definite kind of misfire power loss in any gear and any speed, below 1500 and above 2000 rpm all O.K or if accelerating hard O.K, I was wondering if it was anything to do with the turbo, getting to the point I can't ignore anymore so will be down to the dealers, any pointers pls would be great.

i am not a technical wizard.....but someone will be along soon.

i have a 120 but have no such problems (eek did i say that, touch wood touch wood)

it might be the dreaded swirl valve but not sure. Do a search on swirl or/and EGR valve.

Thanks for that, I should have said its just done over 10,000miles, sounds suspicious vs the thread I have just read, had Vauxhall long enough to know if I have the problem can be sure loads more the same
