    Default z20net sparkplugs

Anyone know what sparkplugs are in the 2.0 z20net engine as standard? Iridium platinum or cheepos?

just that some say iridium plugs normally have a performance benefit.
This is mostly negligible on normally aspirated cars.
But, apparently forcefed engines have proven to gain a few horses and a few pound-feet of torque with iridium plugs.

All the guys on astra-sport with the z20 let swear by the iridium plugs. It seems that they cope better with the faster induction speed and dont "blow out" as easily as standard ones.

I'd go with the Astra-sport guys. They know what they're talking about and have experienced them first hand.

spark plugs don't give you more power - I use standard ones on my punto GT which is tuned along with standard HT leads. if your car was seriously tunned then you would consider colder plugs but why spend all that cash on somthing that in reality will do **** all.

Surely you get what you pay for?

I would like to think that a better/stronger spark is better for performance.
