AFAIK there's no "official" adaptor for the factory fit radios but a few people have fitted the Dension unit with various degrees of success - there's a few threads in the ICE forum

I use a FM modulator and tune the radio into what ever frequency I'm transmitting on.

    It works pretty well.

You can pick them up well cheap from Ebay, like this one.

I wouldn't say they were great sound, but the're adequate and very easy to use and can be moved from car to car without any hassle

According to Which? the Gear4 FM Trip has the best transmitted sound quality. I've got one on the way and will let you know if it's better than my rather poor Belkin one when it gets here.

I use Windows Media and burn the mp3 tracks onto a CD-R each day
A bit "throw-away" I would use CD-RW but the CD player doesn't seem to like that format

Yeah I have got an itrip for the ipod, but I much prefer just burning my latest musical tastes to a CD-r as well.

That's certainly what I would prefer to do, but as my CDC40 won't read mp3 I'm limited to about 120 tracks. (6 cds x 20 tracks). 'Tis good having the track names displayed if you burn audio cds using itunes. So I'm hoping this gear4 thing will do the biz quality wise.

I do agree, the in-car FM transmitter is a cheaper option (and legal now too)
However, be aware some are pretty awful so check out the reviews and if possible get a demontration with your mp3 device

I've hard wired a Harman Kardon Drive n Play into my aerial on the CDC40 only works fully with the IPOD but you can plug anything else into it via a 3.5mm headphone socket (laptop, MP3, psp etc)
