    Default Paypal Q

I recently opened a account and i thought that when you paid for something the money came straight out of your bank account. So the seller get's the money instantly.
I bought some reverse sensor's and am still waiting for them to arrive so i asked the seller why so long. He said the echeque has not cleared. I checked the account and it say's that it takes 7 to 9 days days for funds to clear. I changed the account from the basic one to the premier account but i think the 7 to 9 day clearing still apply's.
Any idea's if im doing something wrong or is this just the way it is.

eCheques take several days to clear, between your PayPal account and your bank account
Instant payments can be done by :
    debit / credit card
pre-loading your PayPal account from your bank account

Note that now that you have upgraded to a premier account, any funds you receive will be charged at standard PayPal fees and will NOT be free
You can, however, contact them and ask to downgrade, but you can ONLY do it once
An alternative is to create a new account on a different eMail address and restart the process, that's what I do

Only if the bank account linked to the PayPal account hasn't been verified.

If you verify your bank account then any payments you make will get to the buyer instantly - you don't need to have any funds in your PayPal account.

If you haven't verified your bank account then it will be sent through as an echeque and take much longer.

AH yes Duncan i remember seeing that Not verified bit. I thought that maybe it will take a few transactions before it become's verified.
Or do i need to verify it myself somehow?
Just checked my account and it's now saying verified. So i'm all ok now. I think.
