    Angry Can't beat it when people lie can you...

    Cut a long story short, I had an accident in my current car (non Vectra) about two months ago, a lady drove into the side of me whilst queuing to turn right at a junction. Liability is currently in dispute as she came out with a right old 'porker when she got in touch with her insurers and there were no witnesses. Annoying thing is it's having a bad effect on my insurance quotes for the Vectra I've just bought, even though it's not my fault and I've got full protected no claims it's having a +£100 effect on my quotations!

    David haveing protected no claims dosen't me if you have a claim your quote will stay the same or be lower. It just means you dont lose the amount of discount. IE: 75%. But you can put money on it that your renewal quote will be higher. I found this out last year when the wife pranged my old Stilo. They wanted double the amount the next year. It's just a con this insurance game.

    Shout and scream at the insurer, they love this 50/50 lark and its wrong!

    Mate had a prang in his wifes Mini and one of these roundabouts where there are traffic lights (other guy went through Red) the insurer said in there eyes you ignore the traffic lights and still give way to your right so its a 50/50. He said thats great as i was on his right as well! All went through as a non fault claim after that.

    Insurance = Legalised robbery!

    Definately, insurance isn't all that interesting until you found yourself in need of it. TBH my insurer (Tesco) has been great throughout, can't fault them. When I called up today to check on progress, they said they've sent my accident report to her insurance company and had requested a copy of hers, and to this date they have heard nothing...they've not been able to get a clear and coherent account of her version of events, all they've had is a claim for the cost of her repair.

    They've said that they have issued deadlines for reciept of this information, and if they don't get anywhere they will pursue legal action, so it's just a waiting game for me at the moment.

    David its not quite the Hard way. It's just the WAY, they squeze as much cash out of us as possible.
    Now i'm as tight as a mermaid's tampax so i hate paying every year. But it's got to be done. I never realy had a decrease in my renewal each year. But when the wife hit the motor it soon shot up. Just robbing gits they are the lot of them.
