You don't need to wet anything, Make shore the serface is clean then just peel the backing off and place on the serface you want to stick to press down and make shore it's stuck then peel the front cover off, Job done

i find it's alot easier to peel the backing off if you heat the whole thing up just a tiny bit, a minute over a gas burner just to loosen up the adhesive, or hit it with a hairdryer. you'll find that as you peel off the protective tape the vinyl will want to come away with it awell, warming it up just reduces it.

Shouldn't be necessary on these stickers Harry. They used a strong adhesive on the backing tape, so the protective tape simply peels off without any letters trying to pull off with it. The ones you got on the Irmscher trip were from a different supplier and did have that problem - these new ones don't.

To apply, simply line up where you want them to go and stick on one edge first, then rub along the width of the sticker to fully stick down. Then all you do is pull off the backing tape. A little tip here. Get a credit card and hold it flat against the sticker, then pull the backing tape off keeping the edge of the credit card at the point where the backing tape is lifting off, moving along as you peel off more of the tape - this will stop any letters being pulled off the glass and will also make sure the letters are totally flattened on the glass.

That's it - job one. Stand back and admire.

Wetting stickers is a good way to be able to play around with the positioning, well you wet the window actually then you can slide the sticker about until you think you have it level, then as D says use a credit card to withdraw air and water and get it pushed down firm before pulling the final backing off.

That's definitely true for stickers along the lines of dealer stickers where it's one rectangular piece of vinyl - but these are individual letters (self-adhesive) so there really is no need for water. For lining up you just use the straight edge of the sticker and off you go.
