    Default Drove an SRi

Not bad , it was a 2.0 felt gutless midrange compared to my oil burner handling is better , but the steering still weighs up midbend and a tendency for understeer although you can push it a lot more than mine , ive lost all confidence in the grip levels of my car as it just dosent give any feel at all , got to get the suspension looked at though , i feels totaly shot compared to the sri , not good for a 32k mile car !

oh and the seat are a vast improvement , shame you get **** all kit on them .

what year did you drive Dennis ?

I have a 54 plate SRi, and find the steering almost bizarre ...
far to light at any speed, and kind of springy at parking speeds ...

My biggest gripe with my 53 platew SRi is the lack of feel through the steering. Compared to my old SRi Vec B, the steering on my C is awful!

There is no way of changing it though is there!

The Vectra B SRi had reactive steering, which the Vectra C does not have
As a result, it can make quite a difference when you compare them
I noticed the difference any time I had a hire car and on changing from the Vectra B SRi to the Mondeo

2.0 petrol 07 plate well think it was 2.0 thats what me mate said , the steering is just plain odd on the vectra , overlight and on mine and the one i drove if you want to make a small adjustment mid corner because the car is understeering you go to turn the wheel and its near solid , absolutley no feel either , theres more feel through the remote changing channels on sky

well looking on the vauxhall site is could have only been the 1.8 , as it had no badge on the back and the 2.0 is a turbo and it had no turbo , should have had a look at the oily bits

    I reckon either the 1.8 or 2.2.

You sure it was 2.0 as it only comes as the turbo And i know it aint anywhere near gutless. Getting good feel in modern cars is rare as they all have fly by wire ****, but i would say there is enough to know what the car is doing.
