Question Vauxhall Diagnostic Interface Scanner Tool

    Just spotted this ...

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=020
    http://www.maxsonic.co.uk/product_vi...productid=2326

    What do people think?

A deal or a quick way to kill the car?

I don't think it works on our cars, I think it's the Vec b owners that would benefit.

I tried one of those, (got a full refund).
The hardware, I think, does work, in that it can connect to the car, however the software that came with mine was PC based Tech2 Opel software, which although it lists the Vectra C and Signum, as did the eBay listing, when you open it up, it then says is "under development" !!!
So on its own, as it stands, it is pretty much useless to us.
Unless of course, you have some other form of software (which we won’t talk about here will we !!!) which MAY work with it.
However, I have now got myself one of these:

    From this guy on eBay.
Make sure it is a U480 as there are different models, (that look the same) and they are not all the same/compatible.
It works a treat, I just read, and cleared my fault code, no problem.

No m8, mines a 2004, check with the guy on eBay, when I asked if it would work with my car, 2004 Diesel, he was not 100%, and offered a refund if it did not work.
Make sure you tell him year, and fuel type, these seem the most important things.
I’m not sure if weather the car is pre-facelift, facelift or half canbus, full canbus wired makes a difference, over time, I’ll try and test this on a few cars (at meets and stuff) and see what exact models this will work with.
I have a feeling, though it’s just a hunch, that if it works on one, it will work on all of them, don’t think the diagnostics is any different between them, don’t quote me on that though.
