Aftermarket HU - Door open Turn off ?!!

I've fitted an Alpine HU to my 2005 (full CanBus) SRi which turns on & off with the ignition - Can I wire it so that it stays on till i open the door like the CD30 did?

Not easily i think as im sure that feature would be part of the can bus system which obviously the alpine wouldn't support

not possible , one of the reasons i put my car back to standard and the other was it rattled too much

mmm, so I suppose this is a problem with all full canbus systems? I was looking at fitting my Kenwood unit when my new one arrives next month.

you can get can bus adaptors from sailes marketing but they aint cheap , that will give you your ignition speedpulse lights on etc
