Default What can I do any suggestions?

Guys I have a 1.8 sri dual fuel....I have managed to get my hands on a quad Imrscher exhaust that was prev on a 1.8 so the exhaust fitting isnt a issue, took It to some to put on for me, he said no problem but when he got it on to a ramp he said...erm i think we have a prob. He showed me and it was where the right box would go. There was some plastic pipes which he said were going to front for the LPG. He advise it can be fitted but the exhaust would get hot and it could affect/ignite the LPG.

I have managed to buy a heat shield for the wheel well underneath fron the 2.0T version but what can I use to cover the pipes with ...he mentioned something heat resistantto prevent it hotting up...been everywhere cant find anything....can any one find me solution...?

The LPG pipes are not plastic.

They are made from rubber with a strengthening in them, to withstand the high pressures the LPG runs at.

They are also heat resistant ie will not melt.

    I would check again?

Ok some pics of underneath of car attached...the one where you see the full wheel well you notice a silver plating around where the exhaust back box would be...does anyone know if the same can be bought for the other side..and what the part number would be...went to vauxhall they didnt have a clue what i was talking about and i have bought a deflector which can be used bu that fits underneath the back box where the gap is on the othe pic...

also when i said I need some heat resistent stuff it was pic the bottom pic where the green wire is which is connected to the lpg tank...i think it makes sense to have it covered.

If anyone can find me the part number and cost that would be brilliant cheers

Totally off topic but can i ask, whats it like on LPG? do you feel a loss of power or anything different??

Good luck with sorting the exhaust and if you don't want it i might take it off your hands?!?

lol got exhaust fitted now mate looks awsome ...waiting for the heat deflectors ..GSI 3.2 sorted me out with the part numbers....as for LPG aint bad mate costs me £15 to fill up tank and that last me 180-200 in minor roads and 240-280 on motorway...slight loss of power but nowt you would notice..and then you could always switch to petrol for the power
