Be prepared for a bit of a shock! The recall was due to them potentially shorting and causing an electrical fire. The 'remedy' is to simply snip the wires, disabling the heated function and send you on your merry way - without heated nozzles!!

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

So what happened before to those who paid to have this option added? Did they get some sort of refund too?

What is needed to retro fit this to cars without heated nozzles at all? Part numbers ????

    Cheers

so do they automatically heat up at a certain temp??
i will insist that they do not cut the wires, if it is standard fit on the car , then it is surely what should be on the car... watch this space...

and by the way this is the first time the car will have been to the garag fopr anything .. hopefully not the start of things to come

Benny, do you have a reference name or number for the mod to get the nozzles connected back up?
Going into dealers soon for replacement HU, might see if i can get this done at the same time.

my advice is to strongly recomend they cut the wires to remove them mate untill the new parts can be fitted ..... thermal incidents are not good
