    Angry Squeaky Brakes??

I replaced the Pads front and Rear today with EBC " Green Stuff " Pads, and now there is a horrible squeel and Grind under braking..... Is this just the Pads "Bedding in" or something else???

N.b It does say on the EBC Box that they are coated with something to "Assist" with bedding in, and NO Hard braking for the 1st 100miles

Please help cos it's driving me crazy...will it go after time??

Did you Copaslip the back of the pads when you fitted them? If not, then that's be the first thing to do.

hmm..I'd expect a slight grinding for a while..due to the rough bedding in surface..but not the squeal...I did give mine a decent smear of copperslip.

A good dollop will ensure they don't squeal. Maybe just whip them out quickly and slap on a bit more to see if it helps.

Just got this off the EBC Website: www.ebcbrakesdirect.com

NOISE - Light whistling/squeaking (at walking pace)
This noise usually happens as the vehicle is coming to rest and is again typical of a pad that is just bedding in or has been under used. Again the remedy is to allow a few hundred miles for the pads to properly seat and have 100% contact surface against the disc. If the problem occurs intermittently, one good cure is to use the brake severely every day now and again on a safe secluded low traffic piece of road to “de-glaze” the surface of the brake pad. Obviously extreme caution must be used when performing this action

Hope this is all it is
