Default button around stereo on pre facelift

    Hello everyone,

I have the Veccy Elite, and around the stereo there are 3 blank plates for switches.

What can go there? Behind 2 of them is an plug. Can i just plug in the switch to get the extra function.

The blank locations are bottom right, second to bottom right and bottom left.

I found a plug behind second to bottom right (traction control switch???)

    cheers

BR = Sports Switch, Above that is TC switch, BL = Park Pilot (parking sensors)

If you have a plug behind the TC one then it may work with a switch plugged in - it's kinda hit and miss whether it does or not.

No use unless you had the options factory fitted - links into the suspension, steering and throttle to sharpen responsiveness and suspension damping.

Yep, that's what it will do if the switch works in your car. There's no pattern to year/spec as to whether a retro-fitted TC switch will work or not.

Dealers - best place. About £10-12. Look in the part numbers section for the part number.

    Several options....
    • Gently prise off with a screwdriver. Advisable to wrap masking, or similar , tape around tip so as to not mark trim.
    • Remove stereo and they can be pulled with fingers from the edge
    • Take a big blob of blu tack, or stickier black tack, and push onto cover and pull and it will come off.

They can be retro fitted, as can the rear heated seats I believe. Just need the right parts. Its been covered on here somewhere.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
