    Default Rear seat belt stuck.

I'll tell you'se what the problem is, I had to put down the rear folding seats to fit something in. When I came to put it back up the middle seat belt would not pull out rendering it useless. I was wondering has anyone else come across this problem and what did they do about it. I have three boys so need three seat belts as you can imagine.

Yep same thing happened to me a few months back,it is a common problem as when I did a search on here, I could see it had happened to a few others.

Mine was still under warranty so the dealers sorted it out, is yours older than 3 years?

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

Yes, I suspect the seat back it not securely back in place.
There is an interlock to prevent seat belt extending if the back is not secured. Try releasing the back and then push it back with a bit more force.

Look at the release handles, they should both be flush with the surround.

Try this before you spend mate, I assume it's locked itself tight? if so pull hard on the lower part of the webbing, and at the same time try to feed the webbing in to the slot it comes down from, failing that, you will need to take the trim off and unbolt the belt at one end to release the inertia. hth

I'm with Ste on this, lower the seat and slam it up again (harder, and then harder still) then try the belt. There should be no red visible on the release catches when the seat is correctly locked in position.

nice to see you are getting it sorted, do us all a favour and ask the dealer if there is a quick fix for this should it happen again, I regularly have a full car load and wouldn't want to be left with a loose passenger behind me.

Worse still if the loose person in the back was 'a person of the cloth' a cannon maybe.
