    Default Clutch life ....

Had to do a quick pull out of a junction , 1st got rolling went into second let the clutch up and the revs went to 5k but no gain in speed , then for the rest of the days its been fine , tried it again earlier with the 4th gear test and it slipped ! should it last longer than 32k or are there too many torques for the clutch to cope with on the 150 diesel

Clutch life is inversely proportional to how much stick it gets.

Ie, the more stick it gets, the quicker it will expire. Some people just seem to eat clutches, whilst others don't.

So , it totally depends on how you drive.

I recently had my clutch checked by the AA (they were doing free vehicle checks in Halfords car park!) and the guy said it felt like new, no sign of wear at all. My cars done 36k but it's only a 1.8 petrol.

My clutch had never slipped before the Nurburgring....

Its back to normal now.... but for a while I thought it would be a casualty of war !!
