    Default Rear Shocks

Just thinking of replacing my rear shocks as they don't seem to perform very well. Is it better to refit standard vx shocks or to fit after market ones. I'm not interested in uprated ones just something that will last a bit longer.

Euro Car Parts do Bilstein OE replacement shocks for £29 each. They are pretty good, and being Bilstein they should last a while too.

Vx ones are pretty rubbish-only last about a year and only reason I had fitted was due to warranty work!!!! Try as above as I think I will do next time!

How much of a job is it to change the shocks and ideas the cost.

it's an absolute doddle, E18 and E20 torx sockets and a ratchet..and about 5 mins a side....the easiest DIY job you can do on the vectra, even the air filter is harder to change..

Thanks a lot, I was quoted nearly £200 for VX shocks and fit for my 04 SRI!
