    Question Questions !!!

hi guys, couple of quick questions for you, gonna be doing oil change and disc and pads. veccy 1.9cdti (120)
    1. is the oil filter easier to get to from the top of the engine or the bottom
    2. does the whole engine cover at the bottom have to come off to get to the oil sump nut.
    3. what is the best oil to use (can get it at trade)
    4. after changing front disc and pads do i need to bleed the brakes

He forgot to put his makeup on, and was touching it up after being overtaken by a flying Fin

For No.4 only if you let some fluid out of the caliper.

Remember to get the wind back tool or home made effort for the rear pads, do not just push the pistons back in.

No.4 - No need to bleed at all. Pads and discs just swap out.

Following on from what VV said, a wind-back tool is needed for the rears - although it sounds like you are doing just the fronts? I don't believe there is an actual wind-back tool available for the fronts (stands to be corrected). They don't always need pushed back but when they have I've used a couple of large G clamps which you position carefully and slowly wind each in until you have the clearance for the pads.
