    Default Door trim

I currently have the wood effect trim on my dash board and door panels.
but i want to change them to the sportier looking aluminium/silver effect.

Is this a relatively cheap mod ?

Also I have a 4 door saloon, so my door shapes are a bit different from the hatch, can i get the silver trim pieces for my car ? and if so how much am i looking at here

i might buy your wood trim off you for my elite if its cheap and easy enough (im told it just prises off)

Door shapes should be the same? its only from the rear pillar it changes isnt it?

I would assume so, i think the front end of the hatch and saloon are the same shape.

have you managed to damage yours ?

If I get the trim pieces cheap I'll let you know andy. but if i cant change the trim around the whole car the project is a non-starter.

I'll prob end up painting the wood look one, or putting stickers over it.

The trims on the dash area are dead easy to change - they just unclip. But as far as I know, the door ones are part of the whole door card and can't just be swapped i.e. a new card is required.

not done anything with mine. Mines like a glossy dark grey with like metalic horizonatl lines in. Wife loves it but i'd prefer a bit of classy fake plastic wood lol.

bol**cks. there goes that plan then.

    bring in the stickers...

the wood trim is nice but I'd prefer the silver, it'd go better with the car.

The trims on the door cards can be changed (but i would advise against it) i have changed one, they are held in place with plastic rivets which hold the trim and then 2 separate pieces of door card together, you have to cut the heads off the plastic rivets(as they have been heat glued) fit the new trim and then re-glue......

Why not try the advertisments at the back of a classic car magazine. When i was into classics there were people offering a) self adhesive trims of all sorts and b) companies who do it for you. I'd go for the latter as I always balls up the fine detail with self adhesive
