My brother has just fitted me a new rear calliper on the O/S as the handbrake section on it, had stuck OFF and did not work at all on that side. However prior to this the handbrake was on and part working with a maximum of 4 clicks. it now take 7-9 to be fully on and the lever is right up under the centre console. What is the correct amount of clicks that it should work at?
i have been told about 3-4 on other cars is it the same for the veccy

Mine touches the armrest when the armrest is pushed forward. It was like that 2 years ago and hasn't moved.

I had trouble with my nearside caliper not working, the lever would lift the armrest (with it all the way back) up about 1 inch and didn't have enough bite to hold the car on a hill. It was like that for months until it suddenly started working again of it's own accord. It now comes up and stops about 2 inches from the armrest.
