    Default Mixing and Matching Springs.

I had my car lowered yesterday, Bilstein Shocks and Eibach Springs. Looks pretty good, however i am a little disappointed on the apparent visual lack of drop on the front end. I was toying with the idea of putting 45mm springs on the front, while retaining the 30mm on the rear. Is this possible, and more to the point, is it safe??

Next problem though, is that it appears that Eibach dont make 45mm springs, the only others i could find would be PI one's, would it be ok/safe to have 2 different makes of springs on either end of the car??

    Help please?

Anyone else on here got the same set up on standard wheels, so i can compare against someone else's??

I'm wonderng if the garage that fitted them have done something stupid like putting the springs in upside down(If its possible), or they havent seated properly.

Give them a week or two to settle, then have another look.

I put the eibachs on and used the uprated eibach shocks too. The front did seem to be higher but it setted a little more over time (not much mind). I wouldn't want the front lower, that's for sure as I caught it on the road turning a corner on a hill?!? Shouldn't be a problem as such with raising the back but it might effect handling, in that it might make the back end light.

Just a point, your car is a SRI so comes with a 15mm drop as standard so if you use 30mm drop springs you're actually only dropping 15mm,this might explain why it doesn't look a big difference.
