    Default Caterman box again !

Just been looking at a thread further down RE :- Caterman boxes.

Someone mentioned resetting the ECU !
Why do you need to do this and how do you reset it ? (disconnect the battery ?)
I never did mine when i fitted it and ain't had any problems.
I just drove 'legally' for a few days then tried out the extra oooomph !

My Vec's in for 3 yr service + mot on tuesday, should i remove the box before they have it ?

if your car is still under warranty then yes remove it m8, as vx dont like these sort's of things being added

i remove mine each time i go to the dealers for work under warranty..

whn i first fitted mine i didn't reset my ECU either and it fly's, it is still off at the mo cos its going back in soon for a new EGR valve and some other bits and bobs.....

will try the re-setting of the ECU when all work is done to see if there is any noticable difference
