The direct has about an extra 10 bhp and better MPG. Mechanically they are more or less the same.
yeh ! alot better MPG !!
Can i fit the twin exhaust system from the direct to mine?
aslong as you get the right parts and the rear diffuser thingy it should bolt straight on matey !
Sure can mate, The hangers are all there you just need the rear insert for the twin zorst.
Ive been looking at the vxr insert,Any prices for zorst parts?
and they made a 3.2 with twin outlets where the tail pipes were hidden ! alot cheaper than getting an SRI/GSI one ! just ahve to have two tailpipe finishes welding on , which means you can chose ones you really like and not the boggo VX ones !!
go to the scrappys mate !!
A direct injection means that the fuel is injected straight into the cylinder, this ensures a cleaner more efficient burn therefore maximising fuel economy and increasing power. It also allows for a higher compression ratio as there is no pre-chamber/swirl chamber. The swirl is accomplished by either machining the top of the piston crown or bevelling the top of the piston crown. Swirl is important for efficient mixing of the fuel and air to maximise thermal efficiency. There, clear as mud
