confused 11 spoke 18" vx alloys

I may be looking at getting rid of my 18`s and down sizing to sri 17 inch... Mainly as the number off miles i am doing and the cost of tyres...

What price would i expect to be able to get for the 18`s looking at a set of 17 + cash but not sure what to ask ??

    Suggestions please ?

I'm thinking of doing the same 'cause I'm sick of the c*** ride with 18"s so I;ll
    be watching this thread closely.

Bizarre - my ride improved going from my Vx 17" to the 18" Vx 11 spokes.

No ones ever complained about the ride in my cr with 18" 11 spokes either, though I woudn't want to be buying tyres out my own pocket, the leasing company put Michelin Pilot Sports on mine at around £200 each

The first Signum I test drove was an 1.9 Elite and the ride was fine, I think
that was fitted with 18s, my car with 18s fitted with B'stone Potenzas is
awful, I'm starting to think it could have been fitted with the opional sports
suspension, is there anyway I can tell just by looking?

Well I have a set of Sri Alloys off my 04 plate vectra and would be interested in swapping for some 18" rims + cash from me.

Well I'm running my 18s on full Irmscher suspension and, as above, it's a better ride than the 17s on same suspension. Your tyres may be a factor. Some tyres are harder than others and give a harder ride. Apart from looking underneath to get part numbers, the easy way to see if you have sports suspension is that it will sit lower than a standard Elite or Elegance. If you had sports suspension, you'd also really notice it in the handling. The Elite standard suspension is quite soft and wallowy/twitchy if you giving it a bit on a twisty road.

It does seem to sit lower and the handling is fine,- sharp and feels well stuck to the road, I'm convinced now it's fitted with sports suspension, I'd like to try
another brand of tyre but the fronts are only half worn ( if that } and the rears were fitted by the dealer just before I collected the car in April and have only done about 2500 miles, guess I'll have to wait awhile.
