Wheel Balancing again !!

My car went to the stealers today for a MOT and a rocker cover gasket replacement . While i was there i asked them to balance my alloy's (19's) because of this annoying wobble i have had for ages. After looking at other threads i decided to go and ask the stealers to do the job for me BUT to my surprise they will only do wheel's up to a massive 17 inch
I asked them what do you do if anything bigger comes in and they replied we take it around the corner to do.
Is this normal i think not, i thought VX had the correct machine to balance any type of size or alloy wheel, seeing we drive cars with such sensative suspension and steering i thought this would be easy for them.

What do you think chap's ??

sounds like old kit, and TBH, the majority of tyres they will see are up to 17's anyway...

They do have VXR's in the showroom 18's and 19's on. Do they sell the car's and tell the customers not to come back because the engine's are to big to fix LOL

lol.. yeah point taken H, but training fitters is cheaper than replacing the balancing machine when there's one up the road....

well i had a shock when i took mine to my friendly vx mechanic...after getting the car bk ,he suggested i get the wheels balanced elsewhere as their machine isn,t the best for 19,s so this echos PImms point

Yep my dealer says the same things, they're not geared up for 19inchers
