iirc a few years ago my father's flymo packed up and it turned out to be a box thingy in the switch (which I assume was a secondary fuse) - we got a replacement and away it went.

Might be worth reading through the instructions though (don't know if there is a support section on their website?)

Well the motor has a thermal cut out but that won't have been tripped. Have you tried it in a different socket or tried another appliance in the socket it was plugged in just in case you have blown the trip?
You could have damaged the contacts in the switch too

When my dear old Grandad was in the first throes of Althziemers, he decided to sharpen the blade on his Flymo. Anyway, after reassembling it and following it up and down the garden a few times, complained to my Nan it wasn't cutting too well.

Anyway, when she found the blade in the vice where he'd left it....

That was after he'd washed another with a bucket of water. That one never saw grass again either...

Based on these experiences, No I'm not qualified to offer any advice.......

Just realised - is it dry enough to cut the grass where ever you are?

Sorry, but this thread is hilarious.

But, mowing grass in thunderstorms with an electric lawnmower might not be the best thing to do.
