    Eek MPG not good

2.0 DTI SXI 105k on the clock, getting around 450 - 500 (at a push) to a tank. Car in stealers tomorrow for new intercooler pipe. Does anyone have any other suggestions for perking her up a bit, additives or quick and cheap mods. All suggestions welcome (except change the car )

    Thanks

That's probably what I'm getting from my Astra. Smaller tank, but also smaller car, which probably brings it to about the same. 50 litres gets me between 450-500 too. Mine's only got 56k on the clock, so you're probably getting what you should.

I saw some very low figures from my X20DTH engine in a Vectra B after tuning it up to 138bhp. My nice new 07 1.9 kicked out 51.5mpg from it's first every full tank and I'm expecting more from the second tank cos I took the tuning box out!

1.9's are a different animal. The 2.0dti doesn't perform very well in the veccy as its a big car. I agree with ZS
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The 2.2dti, I believe does a bit better as you don't have to drive it as hard to get up to speed etc.

I get 500 miles from my v6 CDTi! Approx 38-42 mpg. The 1.9 150 I had for a week never dropped below 47 mpg.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
