    Default Ultimate car cleaning kit

    Hi guys,

I've read through some of the threads on here, and wondered what products you would include in the 'ultimate car cleaning kit'. If you were to advise a new Vectra owner of a few 'essential' cleaning products, what would you recommend?

    1. A decent Shampoo that offer lots of lubrication whilst cleaning. I use Meguiars.

    2. A wash Mitt (not a sponge)

    3. A decent drying towel (not a chamois or a blade). I use a Meguiars Water Magnet

    4. A Clay bar, to get rid of tough tar spots etc.

    5. A decent Polish. There's loads about.

    6. A sealant to seal the polish in. Again there's loads about

    7. A decent Wax. Again there's loads.

(Meguiars do a 1, 2, 3 stage kit with a Polish sealant and wax all included)

    8. Glass cleaner

    9. Wheel cleaner (non acidic)

    10. Tyre Dressing

There's also loads of different brushes to get into all the nooks and crannies.

    Have a look on www.detailingworld.co.uk.

No! I sometimes allow the local valeters to do the outside of my car, but I would NEVER risk taking it through a car wash!

Yes, I know. I thought it was well funny though. Had to do it.

I'm actually thinking about coming down to Trax, so you detailing boys can try to 'educate' me.

Let's see if the misses allows it (as she must be obeyed at all times of course. )
