Travel Assistant or not ??

My 04 Design Signum should have come with a Travel Assistant as standard I understand.

Well, there isn't one.

If it had one fittedas standard, I'm led to believe there is a power socket in front of the seats?

Can anyone be more specific?

Have a look at the How 2 Brakebuster did (in the How 2 section) You'll see exactly the sort of socket that would be there. You can't really miss it if you have one. It's 4/5 inches wide with a flap over it and lots of pin sockets in it.

Someone Correct me if I am wrong:

The Signum Elite pre F/L had them as standard & the others could option this at the dealers.

I have retrofitted a T/A this year - after bagging a brand new Assistant on German Ebay.

To check if your car is T/A ready - you should have a power outlet/ brackets hidden under a hinged plastic cover on the trans tunnel. This is wired to a fused power supply. The rear brackets slide into the 2 little channels on the centre seat backrest.

As Duncan said - check the How To & Get scouring for a decent T/A - just make sure you get the right colour lid to match your interior...
