Default front speakers, and head unit advice

hello there, apologies if my questions repeat recent discussions.

have a 53 plate vectra active, looking at replacing the head unit with an aftermarket one, I do however want to keep the steering wheel controls, I like Alpine units, but not sure what is out there in terms of keeping the steering controls. And also does anyone know the correct part code for the harness adapter, there seem to be a few different ones out there.

Next question in front speakers, does the vauxhall wiring have a crossover built into it already for the factory fit 2-ways up front. And does anyone know how much space there is behind where the factory fit tweeter is on the door? And also whats the size for the front door speaker (looks like a 6", any one know for sure?)

    Many thanks in advance

    Martin

How Much do you want to Spend??

For a Headunit I am gonna reccomend Alpine all the Way - I have had A few now and I have never had a Problem (Now at their Top End DVD System). Always good quality and the Price is always Good.

As For door Speakers, the Standard System has no Crossovers AFAIK, but a Reccomendation for New front speakers are a Direct fit Set of Pioneers that are exclusively for Opel/Vauxhall - No Messing about with adapters or anything like that - the Mid/Bass Drivers fit Straight into the Original Holes, and the Tweeters also Clip straight in - no messing round trying to make them fit.
I have Personally heard them In an Astra and will soon be fitted into my Own Vectra - they range in price depending where you get them From.

Prices range from £80+ Depending on the Retailers.
