    Default Network Q warranty

Am I correct in thinking that if when I take my car in for a service and I say I have a problem with my brakes and they are low the pads will get changed under .

I have about one month to run on my warranty and the brake pads are getting low they are about 3mm thick not including the back plate. I had a problem with the car idling they could not find the fault and tried to charge me £50.

As far as i know, Service Items are not covered under any normal warranty. Brakes, Tyres, basically anything that wears out through day to day use wont be covered, although i am ready to be corrected if i'm wrong.

I could be wrong but Network Q warranty doesn't include tyres, brake pads, wiper blades etc.In other words things that naturally wear out.

You might get a sympathetic dealer who might change them for you future business but i doubt it

Beacuse they were worn out or because they were faulty??

I test drove a 2.2 Signum Elite last week at a Network Q place, they said the warrany DOES cover pad wear and tear aswell, so you shoul dbe able to get them to put new pads on for you without charge

I believe tha Network Q warranty DOES include the brakes. As per their website:

    Comprehensive cover as standard
Your Network Q Guarantee provides you with comprehensive cover for all mechanical and electrical components for a full 12 months / 20,000 miles – whichever is sooner. We even cover your brakes, battery and clutch for 12 months - another first from Network Q.

This presumably assumes that the legendary Network Q 114-point check has identified that the discs/pads will last unchanged for 12 months. Not necessarily! Certainly worth a punt. My Network Q car had front tyres that were barely legal, probably borderline, and I said that I wouldn't buy it unless the front tyres were replaced and they duly replaced the NCT 5's with Michelin Premacy's. If you don't ask/demand you don't get

Thats true - I suspect they DO expect the brakes to last 12 months or 20000 miles (as per their rules etc) BUT, if they dont, you would be entitled to have them done under the warranty.
