    Default Wiper Linkages

Wipers failed on motorway yesterday in pouring rain, looks like its the wiper linkages that are worn. Anyone else had any sort of issues with this, its on an 04 plate. Couldn't seem to find anything on this site so think it must be just me.

Anyway, i'm out of warranty, but still, 3 and a bit years old and you wouldn't expect this sort of wear.

Just want some ammo b4 I call the Vauxhall dealers.

Happened on my 05 about 6 months ago. Only affected one side. Very common problem and was fixed under warranty. They will probably replace linkages and the motor as well. I would be surprised if they didn't fix it free of charge since its such a well known problem

yep, allow about an hour and use a wiper arm puller....and it'll be a doddle.. i hear steve's advisor in that 'HOW-2' really knows his tuff.....

it's dead common, and if you strike it lucky, VX may even do it for you.. if they don't then just get the bare rack and not the one with the motor on, transfer your old one.. then the parts should only be £55+vat...
