Default How's this for a front parking sensor bodgification :D

After coming across a 2 sensor kit in my garage that I bought ages ago, I though I'd have a crack at bodging them on the front but without actually cutting into the bumper.

I found that if you take away the casing then you're left with a pair of 18mm sensors which aren't much bigger than number plate screw caps.

Basically I seales the wires in the sensors with NoNails and sunk 18mm holes into my front number plate to mount the sensors in (see next post).

The 1st pic shows how big the holes in bumper for the plate screws are, so you can easily thread the wires through and mount the plate with velcro instead.

Excellent idea! I would suggest mounting the number plates with another method to help prevent theft though.

    Cheers.
I might screw a couple of flat headed torx screws on either side later.

I'm using my old NOS switch at the mo, but will buy a timer & connect it to rear parking sensors when I get them, so the fronts stay on for 30 seconds after the rears have been activated.
