Default Any advice on removing & replacing Fuel Filter ??

Afternoon all, hope someone out there can advise on removing Fuel Filter, picked up a full service Kit a couple of days ago, weather has been too bad to make a start....... so when I am next off I'll make a start.......

Had a look and its located by the Petrol tank.... it appears to be locked into a bracket, are the tubes either end of the filter held on by Clips ?? or are they pushed on only ??

Any advice on taking this off the easy way if any would be greatly appreciated

Pipes are on a push fit clip - you need to push each side of the clip in at the same time and then pull the pipe - i've always used two small screwdrivers rather like chopsticks to do this

Just a word of warning if you got the filter from VX cause they now sell the new clips on their own instead of already on the filter unlike most aftermarket ones which will have them on

Many thanks!!! looks like i'll be making a trip to Vx to get some clips then... I take it when I removed the Pipe from Tank to Fuel Filter inlet I'll have fuel everywhere so gotta be quick connecting it...

If you place a small container under the filter and gently pull the pipes you should catch most of the fuel - once the filter is empty then the loss will be very little - it won't keep coming out so it empties your fuel tank

Oh yeah, remember to note which way round the flow arrow is on the old filter

    Good luck

yep, the flow arrow points to the front of the car and the filter slides out forwards once two plastic 'fingers' have been moved out of the way..
