    Default Spare alloy wheel holder

I have a full size (215/50/17) alloy as a spare wheel. Only problem is the centre plastic screw to hold it in place is not long enough to hold the alloy in place.

Can i get a longer one? if so where from.

    Any ideas?

You don't need a longer thread, just remove the plastic bit in the bottom of the wheel well.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Is the Spare Wheel Well deep enough to take a full size rim without it protruding through the carpet??

It certainly is BM. As said above, just take the plastic ring that the 2CV wheel sits on out and it is normal well size. Carpet sits nicely flat on top

There is no plastic bit in the bottom of the wheel well but the plastic screw nut isnt long enough

Does it look like this one?

If so, I can't understand why it isn't long enough

Unless some fool has thrown away the plastic holder for a full size spare, then sold the car with the 2cv rim back in the boot. After realising that the holder is gone they simply cut the "nut" down to hold the spare in place? See what i'm getting at
