    Red face cruise control not working?

    as the title was working the other day tried it yesterday.....not working, so while at the dealers setting the parking sensors asked them to check on tec2 to see if there were any problem showing up!!!!!!!!!......nothing?

    in 5th gear foot off clutch press the button on the indicator.....nothing? any ideas!!!!

    Default

    the clutch pedal return spring is a common problem I believe - try hooking your foot under the brake & clutch pedals when you turn CC on & see if it makes a difference

    Another thing to try, is make sure both switches are working that sense the pressing of the pedals

    I would say spring return faulty is different from a faulty switch, one in Mechanical and one is Electrical. When mine failed is was the switch. i.e. electrically sensing the brake was on.......

    So your electrical switched failed mechanically??
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    I thought the same as you until the thread below was started and Craigmill informed us there is a modded part now that is a pedal/switch return spring. It's about a tenner and only 15 mins to fit. p/n 93183937

    On my dads old 03 Veccy LS the same thing happaned but the problem was to do with the handbrake - cant remember exactly what the problem was but thay fitted a new handbrake lever. Maybe get VX to check that out matey.

    I had this problem it was a switch on the clutch got my main dealer to sort it for me.
