    Default Help Please

Help!!!!!!!. A week ago I fitted a rear lip spoiler to my LS saloon. With the advice from the forum all went great and it looks the mutt’s nuts (photo’s to follow). I used double sided sticky tape 9mm wide about 3-4 mm thick. Cover all the areas with tape. And warmed it all up with a hairdryer before applying. Once applied continued with the hairdryer pressing it firmly down until I was happy.

Today it’s started to lift off. My question to you great people of this forum is what I do next. My thoughts are to use a narrower but foam thickness tape or bond it on.

    Your help if you please.

it sounds like the wax on the car has stopped the tape from sticking....you may have to use some thinners or the like where you are sticking the tape, to make sure all residues of polish has gone before re-sticking it back down..

Forgot to mention I did that as well. Used a cleanng wipe, the ones to clean a surface before applying any adhesive. Would bonding it on work?

it would.....more 'fight' in that than trim tape...

the plastic fits nicely doesn't it??..the trim tape won't hold if the spoiler is distorted....

Yeah fits great. Put it on the car before taping and it sits square with no gaps. Think I'll remove and have another go.
