Default 1.0 gal consumption at idle

    Are others experiencing this?

I have tried to explain to the dealer about it, but they are not interested. The only way I can stop it is to turn the engine off and back on.

Had the EGR valve replaced recently and wondered whether that might cure it, but it's still happening.

I checked about the recall for the particulate filter and mine doesn't need it.

    Any ideas people?

I did have another search of the forums earlier and found this, which explains it nicely.
