Beeping

Just noticed tonight after switching the engine off that there's quite a long beep coming from the engine that lasts around 5-6 seconds then followed by a click.

Is this the immobiliser? Heard it a few times but this is the first i've really took note of it........

is it coming from behind steering wheel cowling? much more likely

Definately heard it when i was outside the car standing in front of the bonnet

Is beeping the right description? Is it more of a high pitched 'whine'? If it is then it's things like the air-con servos closing the vents.

Not if it's what I was describing. It does it every time the car is turned off - it's just servos and other bits closing.

really hot weather in a few weeks i thinks thats gone mate back in april
